As my site has been linked by puzzlecat, MSN search engine regularly crawl this site, but M$ sucks and its search engine is just a crap. I decided to put my site into google by submitting the sitemap to it.

pathart notes
Ramneek and Vinisha requested to have pathart install and tested for LSB. Indy already has one installation, but they feel it is slow by using it remotely. It could me 10 hours and srini 3 hours to have all works well.

GISapache migration
The old GISapache (volga) was compiled against
a few libraries in /sw/prod, as we are going to retire /sw/prod, the
GISapache has to be migrated. There are two major components for
GISapache (apache + perl). The migration is expected to be done with minimal disturbance to the existing users.

Oracle 10G on Mac
Oralce officially support Mac osx with 10g. This article describes
the steps I did for a fresh oracle 10g installation on Mac osX 10.3.9
(not Mac osX server version).
Access level summary for my blogs here
As more categories are added, here is the summary for different accecc levels.
- All documents are published and open to public.
- News related are published and open to public.
- Geek’s computer and Blogging system are published and open to registered users.
- Portal project, TLL cluster/oracle, traing project and my life categories are NOT published and open to special accounts only.
I can check up the access level by viewing the blogs by category, either in front end Mambo or backend administration pages.
Move MT blog entries to Mambo
Although I lost the blogs in the last two months, there are still move
than 500 blogs that records my life and career development. I though of
burying all these old blogs with a CD, but these are my lives and even
the missing two month (60-70 blogs) could still be recovered by
regenerating from the static pages. No big deal.
Oracle mail rejected
Meelan and others complain that they have not received any email notification since yesterday.
Doing disk backup with DD
Last week we had terrible day when oracle sysetm’s hard disk fails. The new backup scheme is to use DD utilities.
