When one of my windows engineers re-patched the redundant power cord for an ESX server, PRD IIS in VM instance got corrupted (not sure if it is ESX bug). The problem was IIS server can not start because IIS admin service fails due to following error
“The IIS Admin Service service terminated with service-specific error 2148073478 (0×80090006)”.
The windows engineer tried re-installed IIS service, but all application queues and website configurations are gone, This is a major impacts to business.

| Provide letters of recommendation. | Suggest that vendor employees request recommendations from the vendor company. |
| Invite vendor employees to staff meetings that are focused on team-building, development, or company HR information. | Invite vendor employees to meetings with content directly related to their work responsibilities. |
| Set the hours of work for individual vendor employees. | Specify to the vendor the requirements for deadlines or hours of coverage, and allow vendor to determine who and how to meet those requirements. |
| Discuss performance issues or concerns relating to vendor employees. | Discuss negative performance feedback directly and in a timely manner with vendor management. |
| Give gift checks, prizes or awards to vendor employees. | Inform the vendor management so that they may provide award or prize according to their recognition policy. |
These are things that we should avoid telling a vendor when doing business with them.
