R package SNOW or Rmpi relies on underlying MPI toolkits. Users need to initiate the lamd using “lamboot” before they load up the Rmpi package in R environment. Without any parameter, lamboot only starts up localhost, therefore users have to write/manage their own host files.
I was requested to quickly set up a virtual host for redirected domain. The purpose is to provide a easy-to-remeber name for end-users, who will access “server1.example.com” and be redirected to the “real” service site at “server2.example.com”.
